Abilify

Abilify (aripiprazole) is a prescription medication usually recommended for people suffering from bipolar disorder symptoms, schizophrenia and a number of other conditions of the kind. Abilify can impair your reactions, so make sure you avoid activities that require you to be alert and concentrated. Drinking alcohol can only worsen the side effects likely to happen. The following side effects are sometimes reported by patients using this medicine: sleep problems, drowsiness, dizziness, stomach upset, constipation, trouble swallowing, anxiety, headache, and weakness. You can ignore the symptoms mentioned in most cases, as they are likely to go away on their own without any need for your health care provider to intervene. The following drugs are not supposed to be combined with Abilify because of possible drug interactions: quinidine, paroxetine, high blood pressure medications, carbamazepine, fluoxetine, rifampin, phenobarbital, itraconazole, rifabutin, phenytoin, and ketoconazole. Always take the right amount prescribed, as an overdose may produce such symptoms as confusion, drowsiness, agitation, lightheadedness, aggression, trouble breathing, seizure, fast or slow heart rate, or fainting, and you will need to seek emergency medical help.
